Online casino play in BC
Casino Nanaimo is a building at 620 Terminal Ave in downtown Nanaimo, not a website. Online play in British Columbia has its own rules, and they are set out below.

What is legal online in BC
PlayNow.com is the only legal online gambling site in British Columbia. It is run by BCLC. Online play here means betting through a website or app instead of at a casino. Since April 13, 2026, gambling in BC has been regulated by the Independent Gambling Control Office, or IGCO. The IGCO replaced GPEB.
On August 28, 2026, the IGCO said that all other online gambling sites accepting BC players operate illegally in the province. A BC resident on a private online casino has none of the provincial protections. The minimum age for gambling in British Columbia is 19, online and in casinos alike. People under 19 may not enter gambling venues.
Casino Nanaimo and apps
Casino Nanaimo says it has no online gaming app. It has also warned about fake app ads that use its name, so an ad for a Casino Nanaimo app does not come from the casino. Its own social accounts are @casinonanaimo on Facebook and @casino_nanaimo on Instagram. The casino's website is casinonanaimo.com, and casinonanaimo.ca redirects there.
How this guide is paid
The Nanaimo Casino Chart is an independent guide, not a casino and not Casino Nanaimo's own site. It takes no bets and has no accounts. Paid links appear on the home page only, each marked Ad. They take the form of a button in the menu, a block just below the first screen and a block near the end of the page. All of them go to one private online casino partner, which pays the guide a commission and can change.
That partner site is not PlayNow.com. Provincial protections do not apply there: Game Break, BCLC's voluntary self-exclusion program, does not cover it, and neither do PlayNow limits. Complaints about it cannot go to the IGCO.
